Who is responsible
ngpt.ng is operated by Ranked Technologies Ltd (RC 9522220), a company registered in Nigeria. We are the data controller for anything described on this page, and we are registered with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

That is the entire list. There is no account system, so there is nothing to sign up for and no profile attached to you.
The playground, specifically
Do not paste anything confidential into the playground. It is a public demonstration of a language model. Your text is sent to the model that generates the reply. We do not write it to a database and we do not use it for training, but no public demo is the right place for personal data, client information, credentials or anything under an NDA.
The relay applies an origin allowlist, a per-IP rate limit, a concurrency cap and size limits. Those exist to stop the endpoint being used as a free model gateway by other sites, and the IP address is what makes the rate limit work.
Cookies
None. This site sets no cookies at all, which is why there is no consent banner. There is no analytics package, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no session to keep, because there are no accounts.
The one external request the site makes is to Google Fonts for the two typefaces. If you would rather it did not, a font blocker stops it and the site still reads correctly.
Lawful basis
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 we have to state why we may hold each thing, not only that we do.
- Playground text is processed to perform the thing you asked for, which is to get an answer from the model. You initiate it by pressing send.
- IP address and server logs rest on legitimate interests: keeping a free public endpoint available and not letting it be abused.
Where the data physically is
Not in Nigeria. ngpt.ng is served from a server in the United States, and the model behind the playground runs on a machine in Türkiye reached over a private tunnel. Nothing is stored in either place, but your request travels through both.
Under the NDPA that is a cross-border transfer and we would rather say it plainly than let a Nigerian company registration imply otherwise.
Who we share it with
Nobody. No analytics provider, no advertising network, no data broker. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
The only exception would be a lawful demand from a court or regulator, and where we are permitted to tell you about it, we will.
Your rights
Under the NDPA 2023 you may ask for access to your data, correction of it, deletion of it, restriction of processing, portability, or you may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
In practice there is very little to exercise those rights against here, because we hold almost nothing about you. Write to support@ranked.ng and we will respond within one month, free of charge.
Children
This site is aimed at developers, researchers and institutions and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially the date at the top changes with it. Since there are no accounts, there is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the honest signal.
